Steve writes that he has no spouse because he never got over the loss of his high school sweetheart, and, he's been too young and/or on the move too much ever since! He does admit to a few broken hearts along the way. Steve is a heavy equipment operator-mechanic and a trapper. His hobbies and interests include walking, x-country skiing, traveling, meeting new folks and being in the "bush". He received a juris Doctor from Syracuse Law School in 77. During the last 5 years he has worked on the Trans-Alaska pipeline, clerked for Fairbanks attorneys, gone to Law School in Syracuse and Notre Dame, has studied law and living in London, England for 10 months and trapped in the Alaska Range and the Kantishna River Drainage. Playing high school football, dancing, singing and raising hell drinking with the boys down at Panko's beer joint (and a dozen other high falooting places--like the Blue Diamond, Pear Shapes and White Bridges and Dickman's are very clear memories for Steve.

Wendy is a housewife and community volunteer. Their hobbies/interests include sports--swimming, sailing, skiing, ice skating, handball, mussic--choral, reading--for pleasure, for business and the study of transportation history and the study of Liturgical history. Carlos' community activities include the United Community Chest of Greater Rochester, Planning and Evaluation Task Force 76-present; Rochester Chamber of Commerce; Transportation Priorities Committee 75-present; WXXI-TV; annual auction volunteer since 72, currently (his wife) Chairmen of Auctioneers and member of steering committee; Episcopal Diocese of Rochester; serving second term on Diocesan Council (highest legislative body) and chairman of Diocesan Liturgical Commission (appointed to commission by Bishop 76) and Christ Church; member of Vestry. Carlos has not won any awards as such, but considers the above activities to be very rewarding and some do represent winning elections or being singled-out for some sort of recognition. The Merdados haven't traveled outside of the U.S. since 72. Since then mostly for vacations and business trips. They both recently acted in an English pantomime (not mime, actually a burlesque or comedy) for the English Speaking Union. Being Philip's parents is also a full-time endeavor! Between work, volunteering, partying, et al, they keep busy enough and provide great economic aid to two area baby sitters.

They met in Albion--her brother was captain of Dave's football team. They enjoy golf, weight training and all sports and going to Sarasota, Fla. where they have a condo. Dave coached 2 undefeated swim teams in 78 & 79 with a record of 27-0. Over the past five years Dave has worked on his Master's degree and his PH.D. from the U of R. His most memorable experience from high school is transferring to East from Mt. Carmel because that gave him the opportunity to know so many great people and to have experiences he otherwise would not have had.

Betsy, a 2nd grade teacher, says she has no spouse so far but that she has 26 children in the classroom, all age 8, and she wants to know if they count. Being pulled up on the stage in Hawaii to learn the "Funkie Hula" in front of 1,000 people and being able to keep her cool is her outstanding accomplishment. She has traveled extensively over the past 5 years--Puerto Rico, Hawaii (twice), Europe (twice--she nas now visited all of the European countries except Scotland). He recently joined the legal staff of Wheelabrator-Frye, Inc., a Fortune 500 corporation, headquartered in Hampton. Graduation weekend is his most memorable time from high school.

Dottie decided when she married Ira Gedan 5 years ago that as long as she was changing her last name she might well change the whole thing. So, she dropped the 'Dorothy' and now goes by her middle name, Laurel. Ira has his own consulting firm. They lived in New Jersey until summer of 75 when they relocated in Miami. Laurel became Director of Financial Aid to the U of Miami and went back to school nights to her an accounting degree, which she finished last summer. She's been working with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, & Mitchell since then. She has passed 2 parts of the C.P.A. exam (there are 4 parts in all) and hopes to pass the rest and be a C.P.A. by year-end. The Gedans enjoy golf, swimming and boating.

Jeff and Linda have been married 7 years and have a 6 year old daughter, Kerry Ann. They met on a blind date. Jeff is a sales manager for Prudential Ins. Co. and Linda is a wife and mother. The Weaver's have spent the last five years traveling anthe Ststes son in a van that Ken remodeled with most of the comforts of home. Presently, ther are working on a family room that was added to their house this year. Having very close friends like Ann payne and Linda Schwartz for the last 20+ years Nancy lists as an outstanding accomplishemnt. Her most memorable experience from high school is when her slumber party got raided by her parents.

Lucia, a guidance counselor and mother, and Peter, a dentist, met at Lincoln Center. They like Alpine and cross country skiing, running, swimming, painting, and Lucia does volunteer work in reading in the elementary school. Under special awards she asks "Do mothers get awards? They should for patience!" She's spent the last 5 years having and bringing up children and restoring an old farmhouse which was built in the early 1800's and destroyed by a fire. She's learned a lot and it's been fun. Lucia's love life is her most memorable experience from high school because as a high school counselor she can empathize how intense life is when one is a high school student.

Aileen and Bill Burkhardt have shared the last 8 years together. They are both sociologists--Bill ar Ohio U and Aileen presently working on her doctorate. They met in a sociology classroom, of course! They enjoy camping, traveling and daydreaming. Her outstanding accomlishment is staying in school longer than 95% of out class. After teaching sociology at several of Ohio U's branch campuses (her last class consisted of 40 male convicts inside a medium-security prison) she's returned to school full-time to finish her doctoral degree. Aileen's dissertation will be on intra-family voilence. She has spent her vacations camping on the East Coast beaches and traveling to Mexico and Taiwan. Her most memorable high school experience is class day activities and she wonders of these weren't actually student riot training for our college days.
