I have been in Seattle since 1960, working and raising my family. We have 6
grandchildren, 4 live here in this area and 2 live in California. (Our
two older boys live in the Bay Area).
I play golf and swim in my spare time. We
travel quite a bit. We have a motor home and do some traveling that way.
Oh yes, I meant to mention that after raising
my family I am still sane, at least by my standards. That is, I would
think, my greatest accomplishment.

Raised two children and one husband. Still married to the same husband,
Tom, for 39 years.
Survived Tom's 1987 heart attack. He survived
also and will retire from Weyerhaeuser in fall of 1992. My gray hair
still has a little brown in it. The only breakdown I've had has been my
car's and my daughter's. (Both are better).
I only take 2 pills a day. My heart still has
its original valves and arteries and hopefully they're not too clogged.
I still have all my internal organs and wear bifocals not tri's. I walk
2 miles, four days a week.
My seven-year-old grandson thinks I'm wrinkled,
but assures me it's alright, that I only have too much skin.
I have been in Avon sales for the last 11
years. Tom and I have square danced for 20 years, with Tom
"calling" and teaching square dancing for the last 15 years.
Member of the same church for 49 years.
We sold our Aberdeen home three years ago to
move to Lost Lake near Shelton. I now awake to sparkling sun on the
water, hopefully, and go to sleep with the moon making a night bow in
the sky. Really!

I am on the verge of retiring and looking forward to it. Joe will be
retired in 2 years. At that time, we hope to kick back and take a few
more trips than we do. Fortunately, we have been able to vacation in
Florida a few weeks in the winter frequently. (Used to be home).
We have three lovely grandchildren; Mathew
Benson, age 6, Katie Fisher, 2 and Krissy Fisher, 1 year old. Our
daughter Fawn is Mathew's mom, and our son Eddie, is Katie and Krissy's
dad.
We enjoy gardening and yard work and look
forward to having more leisure time maintaining the yard. We do spend a
lot of time with the grandchildren and feel blessed to have them.
Cooking is one of our pleasures and will brag
"Fisher Barbeque Ribs" can't be beat - 'Ol Southern recipe!
We have always had "itchy" feet and
love to be "On the road again", even if for only a short
period of time. We always meet interesting people and there is no end to
places to visit.
Neither Joe or I have set the world afire -
we've had good health, good jobs, raised 2 healthy children, haven't
gone without much, but don't really ask for much either. And, after
celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary in February, I feel we have
accomplished an awful lot - together.
