At a recent school board meeting, the Board accepted your
thoughtful and generous donation of $2,200. We have
been overwhelmed with the support from our community and
alumni following the fire that destroyed the Weatherwax
Building. Words cannot express my appreciation, the
appreciation of the staff and students of Weatherwax High
School, and of the Aberdeen School Board for your
contribution to assist us following the fire.
Out of every disaster comes hope. From this tragedy
came a renewed strength and sense of community for
Aberdeen. Planning the future of Aberdeen High
School will invoke a great commitment on the part of many
and will be an exciting time. I am confident the
result will be a high school that reflects the hopes and
dreams of our community, and one that will have a
powerfully positive influence on students.
Again, please accept our sincere thanks for you
donation. Please be assured of our continued efforts
to provide the youth of our community with the best
possible education.
Sincerely,
Martin
