In Memory Of.....
Edwin Arthur 'Art' Claffey, my younger brother was born April 13, 1931, in Washington County,
Pennsylvania to Doris Perry and Joseph Harold 'Bus' Claffey. He graduated from Washington
High School in 1950, while there playing in school band. He continued musical interest in military
band of Pennsylvania National Guard and served in Germany during Korean Conflict. On July 31, 1953,
he married Laura Mae Briggs, who survives along with two children and four grandchildren. He moved
his family to Richmond Va. about 1967, then three years later moved on to Texas. He died
January 21, 1997 in Houston, Texas and is buried there in Harris County.
