WILLIAM ELISHA “DOC” WYNN son of JOSIAH D WYNN (1829-1885) and MARY JANE KELLY (1834-1927) was born 06 March 1867 in Harlan County, Kentucky, and died 31 January 1959 in Deputy, Jefferson County, Indiana. He married (1) NANCY JANE CREECH 16 February 1885 in Harlan County, Kentucky, daughter of WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON CREECH (1842-1929) and FRANCES SMITH (1842-1927). She was born 14 May 1869, and died 1900. He married (2) MARGARET ELLEN DOOLEY 08 January 1914 in Berea, Madison County, Kentucky, daughter of WILLIAM ISAAC DOOLEY and OPHELIA ANN HAYES. She was born 07 April 1890 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, and died 18 January 1963 in Deputy, Jefferson County, Indiana.

WILLIAM C WYNN son of ELCANAH WYNN (1833-1899) and ELIZABETH KELLY (1821-1896) was born 24 April 1854 in Harlan County, Kentucky. He married SUSANNAH LEWIS 09 February 1874 in Letcher County, Kentucky, daughter of JAMES WILSON LEWIS and CATHERINE COLLIER (1829-1884). She was born 06 November 1857 in Partridge, Letcher County, Kentucky, and died 05 March 1929 in Madison County, Kentucky.

 

This Deed of Conveyance, made and entered into this 17th day of October 1903 between W. E. Wynn of Harlan County, Kentucky part of the first part and W. C. Wynn

 

Party of the second part, witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereas is hereby acknowledged,

 

 

Do hereby sell and convey to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, the following described property, to-wit:

 

A certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Harlan and the State of KY on the waters of the left hand fork of Childs Creek of the Clover Fork of the Cumberland River, Bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning on a White Oak a corner to to a Jonathan Kellys survey. Thence down the ridge with the call of the Kelly Patton to a Water Oak, thence around with said Calls to the Ridge between Days Creek & Childs Creek, thence with the ridge to south line of said Kellys survey, thence with said line of the same to the Beginning so as to include all the in the Kelly Patton on the left hand fork of Childs Creek.

 

To have and hold the same, together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever. And the said party of the first part hereby covenants with the said party of the second part, the he will warrant the title to the property hereby conveyed unto the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns forever.

 

In Testimony Whereof, the party of the first part has hereunto subscribed his name, the day and year aforesaid

County of HARLAN Clerk’s Certificate of Acknowledgment

 

I H. H. Howard Clerk of the County Court of the County and State aforesaid, certify that the foregoing Deed of Conveyance from W. E. Wynn to W. C. Wynn was on the 17th day of Oct. 1903, produced to me in said county and acknowledged before me by W. E. Wynn part grantor thereto, to be his act and deed.
