Gentleman;

We are eager to obtain any pension record you may

have of John Turner who was born in North Carolina, and died

in Madison County, Kentucky, between January 3, 1813, and January

3 1814, the date his will was probated.

In the state records of North Carolina, edited by

Walter Clark, volume XV1, page 1168, he is listed in the

"Roster of the Continental Line from North Carolina, 1783

1st Regiment: John Turner, Sergt., Brown's Co. Enlisted Aug.

01, 1777". under "occurrences" the record says," pt. June, 1778".

The Christian name of his second wife was Jane.

Thank you for any information you may be able to give us.

Very truly yours,
