It is the intent of this website to honor and respect the Alumni of Bixby High School on Main Street.

Your Privacy is Our Concern

• Private information about living persons requires written permission before publishing.
• Contact information for class reunions, open house, and other events is securely published.
• Any user may request that their name not appear at this site.
• Your email address, posted at our 'Post a Message' page, is shared on the Internet. Some users provide a Hotmail, Yahoo or G-mail address for Internet posting.

Submitted Material

• By submitting material, you give permission to publish. Your name and graduating class year will appear in the credit unless otherwise specified. Your may remain anonymous, however, your name and contact information must be on file as the responsible person.
• All material remains the property of the author/custodian.
• Material at this site may be freely copied for personal use. Use for profit requires written permission from the author/custodian.
• This site reserves the right to edit submitted material.

What is the Main Street Spirit?

The Main Street Spirit is a website created to honor Alumni, Faculty and Friends of the old Bixby High School on Main Street. The high school was demolished in 1979, but memories forever linger. Here, we share our memories and keep in touch. There are no dues, no officers and no meetings. We have no bylaws, however, we do have a policy which is stated on this page.

Main Street Spirit is not affiliated with any organized group. Membership to Main Street Spirit is by choice. Those who think they belong, probably do. To join, just come to this site and enjoy your time spent reading and sharing memories about Bixby High on Main Street.

Information at this site is recorded as submitted to the site. Our facts may be a little fuzzy but our intent is honest. We can't guarantee that any of our information is suitable for research purposes, but we do our best to tell it like it was.

History of The Main Street Spirit

The Main Street Spirit was created during the summer of 2007 by retired folks who want a place for the 1921-1965 Bixby High Alumni and friends to share memories.

The website name and style are imitable of the old stencil created, hand-cranked, Spartan Spirit Newspaper of more than 50 years ago.

How To Submit Material

Please read Our Policy before submitting material. Feel free to submit photos, articles and other material you want to share. Send an email to Main Street Spirit. Write 'Main Street Spirit' on the Subject line. Include the following information:

1. Your Name (women, please, include maiden name)
2. Your Graduation Class(es)with whom you identify.
3. Name of individuals and description of activity in photos, if known (nicknames and maiden names accepted)
4. At least one form of contact information (address, email and/or mailing, phone number). This information will not be posted on the Internet.
5. Name as you want it to appear in credits, if different from item #1. Write Anonymous if you prefer to not have your name published.
