* Fahrney * WeCaTon
* West * Wolfe
FAHRNEY, from Dede Fahrney: "My Dad was honored at the W.C. Alumni this year (2003)
for graduating from W.C. 70 years ago - they gave him a W.C. throw blanket and he will be 88 years old in November and
still in pretty good health. Dad's father (my grandfather) was the postman in W.C. back in the 1920's amd 1930's.
Dad had a cousin (
Lorene Fahrney - deceased) that graduated before him, but I don't know what year."
WeCaTon was the name of the early 1900s West Carrollton year book. Family names back then
included: Treon, Schuder, McNabb, Shade, Throckmorton, and Schindler.
WEST, Charles E. Mr. WEST was the band director at West Carrollton for many years.
Later, he lived in Tipp City.
WOLFE, from Bill McNabb: "I was wrong about the spelling of the village
blacksmith's name -- it was Wolfe (with an "e"), so Tom may not be related, but Coe,
Milton, and John are, I believe, Matt's great grandchildren."
