Sporting buttons which read, "After 20 years, we're better than ever," almost half of Carmel High School's Class of 1960 attended a picnic Saturday which marked the 20th reunion.
Eighty class members, plus spouses and children, met for hot dogs and chili at Carmel River Beach, one of the few sunny spots on the Peninsula over the weekend.
That evening class members dined and danced at La Playa, and then went on to the Mission Ranch and elsewhere for late night celebrating and reminiscing.
A no-host picnic at a classmate's ranch on the Little Sur River ended the weekend for the class members, who came from as far away as the east coast, Florida, Hawaii and Seattle to attend the reunion.
